Effective Sunday, November 4, we lose an hour of daylight, and gain an hour of sleep.
If you’re participating in NaNoWriMo, it also means an extra hour of writing!
Sunday has many uses:
Try a new writing challenge. Set a goal to write 6,667 words by Sunday night (I’ve set a goal for 7,000).
Set another goal to include a character, scene, or idea in your weekend writing. I have a love scene in mind between Donovan and Lana (sorry, folks; you’ll have to wait for the book’s official release to read it).
Check out @nanowordsprints on Twitter for a serious boost in your word count. Trust me, it works!
Take a break between your creative spurts. Take a nap, go for a walk, listen to some music, watch a movie, whatever tickles you at the moment! I plan to watch the Giants vs. Steelers game.
Of course, don’t forget to visit the NaNoWriMo web site for pep talks, chat with other writers, and even find some new ideas.
Happy writing – let’s get to the magical 50,000 together!
