Pittsburgh is just quacking with delight this weekend…and through mid-October
This cute rubber ducky is actually 40 feet tall and 30 feet wide. He arrived in Pittsburgh Friday afternoon for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s Gallery Crawl.
The friendly, floating, four-story-high Rubber Duck has healing properties: it can relieve mondial tensions as well as define them. The duck has been on display in Amsterdam, Lommel (Belgium), Osaka, Sydney Harbour, Sao Paulo and Hong Kong and arrives in the US for the first time for the Pittsburgh International Festival of Firsts.
The giant yellow duck floated down Pittsburgh’s rivers before reaching its destination of the Roberto Clemente Bridge to kick off Friday night’s International Festival of Firsts. He will be displayed now through October 20, 2013 as part of an art installation. He arrived in Pittsburgh for his first visit to the United States.
