I want to let all my friends know about a scam going around. People are being contacted by scammers posing as “IRS Agents” who are claiming that unpaid taxes need to be paid immediately via methods which conceal the identity of the receiver. If you are contacted by any “official” and something doesn’t look right, chances are good it’s a scam to get your hard-earned money. There are many scams happening in cyberspace (and the real world), and we cannot be too careful. One good idea to stay safe is not to open any emails/click on email links from anyone you don’t know.
Remember — if it sounds too good to be true or someone is trying a scare tactic to get cash, both are very likely.
