‘Cruiserweight’s Daughter’ Takes Off

When the Kindle edition of The Cruiserweight’s Daughter was released October 9, I expected it would take some time to make Amazon’s Top 100 bestsellers in its respective genres, just as The Cruiserweight had done after its 2010 release.

Imagine my shock- and pleasant surprise – when The Cruiserweight’s Daughter hit the top 100 on both Amazon and Amazon.uk only two days after the release of its Kindle version:

Amazon rankings for The Cruiserweight’s Daughter (October 11):

#14 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Nonfiction > Sports > Individual Sports > Wrestling
#34 in Books > Sports & Outdoors > Individual Sports > Wrestling
#55 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Fiction > Genre Fiction > Sports

Amazon.uk rankings for The Cruiserweight’s Daughter (October 11):

#8 in Kindle Store > Books > Nonfiction > Sports > Individual Sports > Wrestling
#27 in Kindle Store > Books > Fiction > Sports
#43 in Books > Fiction > Sport

When I spotted these numbers, I thought it was a fluke, because it was a new release and the initial attraction would die down in a few days.

Then came the second surprise. This morning, October 19, The Cruiserweight’s Daughter was once again a Top 100 best seller – ten days following its release:

#26 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Nonfiction > Sports > Individual Sports > Wrestling
#77 in Books > Sports & Outdoors > Individual Sports > Wrestling
#82 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Fiction > Genre Fiction > Sports

In addition, The Cruiserweight’s Daughter was named a Hot New Release in wrestling books:

It’s been an interesting ten days, to say the least.

Speaking of The Cruiserweight, sales continue to go well for the original book in The Cruiserweight Series.

This was the ranking on Amazon as of the morning of October 19:

#13 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Nonfiction > Sports > Individual Sports > Wrestling
#52 in Books > Sports & Outdoors > Individual Sports > Wrestling

Remember, all who have bought the books have made all of this possible, and I cannot express my gratitude too many times. Whether you loved these books or they weren’t your style, my appreciation and thanks to all of you is are nevertheless the same. I hope you enjoy reading these books as much as I did writing them.

Seeing these numbers makes me more eager to get started on Klass Act’s manuscript…but that won’t be done until November 1.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
